BasicOps Bot for Slack:
If your organization uses Slack to communicate you can use a BasicOps bot to help manage tasks and activities on your Slack channel.
This article will show you how to:
- Add the BasicOps Bot to Slack
- Use the BasicOps Slack Commands
- Link Slack to BasicOps
Adding the BasicOps bot to Slack - Web Page
- In order to use the BasicOps Bot on Slack you’ll first need to add the app. To do so visit the Slack BasicOps App Page.
- After getting the app you will have access to all the BasicOps slack commands.
Adding the BasicOps bot to Slack - Slack App
- Head to the Slack app directory and find BasicOps
- Then Click Add to Slack!
BasicOps Slack commands:
- For a list of all the available commands type “/basicops help” or “/basicops”
- Typing “/basicops task” in the slack message bar creates a task for your project simply fill in the boxes with the desired information and press submit. The task will then appear on your BasicOps project.
- Typing “/basicops link” will allow you to connect your slack channel to one or more of your BasicOps projects. Once you link them you will receive messages in slack notifying you of any comments added to project and tasks, which also includes some auto-generated comments and user comments.
