You can export a project to a “CSV” file in order to view it in a spreadsheet. This article will show you how to export to a spreadsheet.
Exporting to a spreadsheet
First, you must select the project you want to export in the left hand side panel. At the top of the screen click on the three dots next to the project name.
Select Export to a Spreadsheet from the action menu and then click on Download Spreadsheet.
Your project information will be exported to a CSV file which can then be uploaded into any spreadsheet.
In the example used in this article, the spreadsheet file created is shown below. The first row contains the headers, and subsequent lines contain the task information. You can see the project names, sections, task names etc. in the file.
Include Subtasks in your spreadsheet
When you do an export you export what you see, so to export subtasks as well you have to expand all sections. You do this by clicking on the filter section and selecting the Show subtask radio button.
Subtasks will then be included in your exported file. They will be listed as tasks in separate rows with their name displayed in the Task column.
