The overall state of your project can be communicated to your team through the Project Status settings. Note that only the project owner can update the project status.
Updating the Project Status
In the left side bar, select your project. In the example below we’ve selected the project Product Roadmap.
At the top of the screen, beside the project name, click on the three-dot action menu. Then select Edit Project Information.
You will see the Project Information screen. Click Change to see the Project Status pull down menu. Set the status by clicking on the status option.
Project status options
There are 5 project status settings in BasicOps
On Track |
The project is on schedule. |
At Risk | There is the possibility that the project due date will not be met. |
In Trouble | The project is not going to be completed on time. |
On Hold | The project has been temporarily suspended. When marked On Hold, the project is effectively archived - the project and tasks will not be visible to any user. |
Complete | When a project is marked Complete, it is effectively archived - the project and tasks will not be visible in BasicOps. |
Filtering on Project Status
You can filter on project status by selecting Projects in the left side bar, and then selecting the Filter pulldown menu at the top of the page.
As an example, a project marked Complete or On Hold will not be displayed in the project list by default. In our example we marked the project Product Roadmap Complete. It is not displayed in the project list.
In order to see your completed project you must set a filter to Complete or All Statuses.
Once the filter is set you will be able to see your completed project in the list as well as other completed projects.
