NOTE: This feature is only for Administrators of a workspace, and is only available in Business and Enterprise plans.
In this article, we will discuss how to modify the fields in the Project Information. The current information for a project includes Project name, description, owner, status, start date, and end date.
To keep it consistent, modifications to the project information fields will impact all projects in a workspace. We will show you how to:
- Modify Project Information Fields
- Access Project Information in Project
- View New Custom Field in Projects Table
Modifying Project Information Fields
Click Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar. From here, select Project Information.
Here, you will see a page that displays the current project information fields that exist in your Project Information; To add a custom field, Select Add Field.
Based on your team's needs, create your custom field.
Click save; now, you will see the Custom Field in your list of project information.
Here, you can also customize the order of the Project Information by simply dragging and dropping the fields into your preferred layout. Now, your new project information field is ready for use.
Accessing Project Information in Project
To view this information in a project, select a Project in your Workspace.
Then, select the 3 buttons next to the project name, and select Edit Project Information.
Here, you can see the updates to your project information. Given our example, you can see the new custom field, Team.
Here, you can select what value you want to attribute to your project’s custom field.
Select Save. Now, you have successfully created a new custom field for your project information, and have now saved it to your project!
View New Custom Field in Projects Table
Once you create the custom field in project information, you can also add it as a custom field in the table view of your Projects page.
To do so, select the Settings button.
Here, you will see a list of fields that are currently being used in the table, along with your new custom field. Select your field in the list of Available Fields, and use the arrows to move it into the Table View column. Select Save.
Now, your new custom field will show up in your Projects table, all ready to go.
