Guest users can perform many of the same functions as internal users: They can create tasks and subtasks, call on Help, use Search, submit bugs, add a profile photo, and update their account settings. They have access to their own dashboard, feed, projects, and task lists.
Note: Before anyone from outside your organization can be part of a project, your admin must invite them to log in to BasicOps. Make sure you give your BasicOps admin the name and email address of any guest user you want to include in a project.
To help maintain security and limit their exposure to areas that might contain company-only info, guest users have access only to areas that are essential to completing projects and tasks. But there are some differences between what an external user and a vendor user can see and do. Because of the role they play as an important team member, external users are given broader access in BasicOps.
Here’s a summary of what vendor users and external users can (and can’t) do in BasicOps. (For the nitty-gritty of what vendor users can and can’t do, see What vendor users can and can’t do.
