Use the drag and drop feature to organize work and attach information throughout your workspace. You can prioritize your task list, move tasks to different projects, move project sections, move multiple tasks and attach files.
How to move tasks or subtasks
- Find a task you want to move.
- Press and hold down the button on the mouse to grab the task.
- Drag the task to the desired spot.
- Drop the task by releasing the button.
Use the drop indicator to help guide you to the correct spot. You could also move the tasks into the subtask position by dragging the task to the left. Wait for the drop indicator to indent.
How to move a task to projects
- Find a task you want to move.
- Press and hold down the button on the mouse to grab the task.
- Drag the task to the project in the left side bar.
- Drop the task by releasing the button.
How to move project sections
- Find a section you want to move.
- Press and hold down the button on the mouse to grab the task.
- Drag the section to the desired spot.
- Drop the task by releasing the button.
Use the drop indicator to help guide you to the correct spot.
How to move multiple tasks
- Find the tasks you want to move.
- Click on the top task.
- Then, hold down SHIFT and click on another task. All tasks in between the two tasks you have clicked will be selected.
- Press and hold down on any selected task.
- Drag the tasks to the desired spot.
- Drop (let go of the mouse key) the tasks in the new spot.
How to drag and drop files
You can drag and drop files in the following places: Discussions, Files, Chats and My Notes.
- Find a file from your computer.
- Press and hold down on the file.
- Drag the file to any comment or file section.
- Drop (let go of the mouse key) the file in the new spot.
Use the same steps for any drop area (Discussions, Files, Chats, My Notes).
